Wine Grape Council OF SA

The Wine Grape Council of SA (WGCSA) is the peak body for South Australian wine grape growers, funded through a voluntary levy paid on all wine grapes sold from SA non-winery vineyards.

The Council provides a single, united advocacy voice for wine grape growers in industry, government and other forums. It develops policies and strategies and funds programs to represent the interests of wine grape growers in SA and nationally.

WGCSA is managed by a Council of eight wine grape growers who meet five to six times each year. They each represent one or more grape growing regions of South Australia.

The organisation is funded by the SA Grape Growers Industry Fund, which is currently $1/tonne of grapes supplied for processing. The contributions are collected by the purchasing winery and forwarded to the Minister for Primary Industries and then to WGCSA.
